Enrique Fabián, the San Bernardino Stallions 22-year-old second baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors.
He ripped 12 hits in 23 at-bats, compiling a .522 average with 1 home run and 2 RBIs.

The Stallions ran into a buzzsaw as Kevin Kopecky cut them down to size 5-0 with a 3-hit shutout.
His skipper added, "He knows exactly what he's doing. He's not going to throw you a good pitch until you make him throw one."
In the complete game whitewash the San Francisco hurler doled out 3 walks and registered 9 strikeouts.
In the postgame press conference his catcher said, "Kevin goes out there and just goes about his business. I don't think he gets too concerned about what's going on. You can call any pitch and you know where he's going to be."
Kopecky also got some praise from the San Bernardino manager.
"He really kept us in check today. Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away... we took some pathetic swings."
In 11 starts this season Kopecky has recorded a 7-2 record and a 2.51 ERA. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | 2B Jason Herrera | scratched cornea | 2 weeks | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 27-35, .435 PCT | | Position in Division | 4th, 8.0 GB | | Record at home | 16-18, .471 PCT | | Record on the road | 11-17, .393 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 4-5, .444 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 14-9, .609 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 10-11, .476 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 17-24, .415 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 5-5, .500 PCT | | Record in April | 10-11, .476 PCT | | Record in May | 10-18, .357 PCT | | Record in June | 7-6, .538 PCT |
