Thursday, September 21st, 1961: Angels Lose Vincent Harris
The Los Angeles Angels will lose the services of starting pitcher Vincent Harris after he sustained dead arm syndrome while throwing a pitch in today's game against the Sacramento Senators. When asked about the injury, he took a philosophical approach. "Worse things can happen in life," Harris said. "The key now is to stay positive." His trainer said he is expected to be sidelined for the next 2 weeks.

Checking out his stats for the season, Harris has registered 19 wins and 13 losses in 38 starts, 4.05 ERA and struck out 271 batters in 317.2 innings.
